Glasgow's tastiest weekend of the summer is back, and it's pitching its tents in Rouken Glen Park.

The Foodies Festival — billed as the UK's biggest celebration of food and drink — returns to Giffnock from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 August 2026, with three days of chef demos, live music, kids' cookery classes and enough street food to feed the South Side twice over.

What's cooking

The La Española Chefs Theatre is the headline act, hosted by MasterChef finalist Sarah Rankin. Expect appearances from Harry Maguire, the 2025 MasterChef Champion, alongside Glasgow favourites including Dean Parker of Celentano's, Craig Nelson of Ox and Finch, Ashley Bennett from Ka Pao and Scott Murray of The Gannet.

Over at the Fire Stage, BBQ chef Jacqueline Wise will run sessions on everything from fire-cooked seafood to the perfect steak, with a Hot Wings Challenge for anyone brave enough. The Cake & Bake Theatre brings in Bad Girl Bakery's Jeni Iannetta and Great British Bake Off 2025's Jessika Trassell, while the Drinks Theatre features Master of Wine Rose Murray Brown and Diana Thompson of Wine Events Scotland.

Local producers and a sustainability push

Beyond the big names, the festival leans hard on artisan producers, with an Artisan Market giving small Scottish food and drink makers a platform alongside the celebrity chefs. The Deli Kitchen Kids Cookery School — run in partnership with Rethink Food, a charity that tackles food waste and food poverty — will host free flatbread-making classes for children at noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are first-come, first-served from the front desk.

There's also a Wellness Village for anyone who fancies a breather between samples.

Music to eat by

Each evening brings a headline act on the main stage: Symphonic Ibiza kicks off Friday, Boyzlife (Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden) take Saturday, and Gareth Gates with Boyband in the Park closes the weekend on Sunday. Pit tickets get you within metres of the stage.

Tickets: Adult day tickets from £27, Young Adult £8, Family (two adults, two children) £59. Weekend tickets are available from £15 per day. A Platinum upgrade adds fast-track entry, VIP lounge access, a chef meet-and-greet and reserved seating. Carers go free.
